Christiane Millinger

Director Christiane Millinger Rugs & Textiles

Christiane Millinger is the owner of Christiane Millinger hand-made rugs and Textiles. She was born in Austria, where she attended a textile engineering school.

She immigrated to the USA at age 20 and worked as a textile conservator and restorer for 4 years in Denver for Robert Mann.

Moving to Portland she continued her work as an antique rug restorer and eventually transitioned to buying, selling and collecting antique, vintage and modern hand-made floor coverings.

She worked with James Opie for 8 years and in 2000 opened her own gallery.
